Braille in public places is an important means of affording equity and independence for touch readers and also helps to raise awareness about inclusion and access. The Australian Braille Authority applauds the councils, restaurants and other businesses that have provided braille in public in the form of tactile signage, braille menus, inclusive playgrounds and artwork that can be touched.
